A random drug test administered by the Nevada State Athletic Commission in March set of a chain of events that led to a massive shakeup for last weekend's UFC 146 event. Though that test wound up with a positive result for Alistair Overeem, all fighters who actually competed on last weekend's card were clear of any banned substances on fight night itself.

All 24 fighters on the card - which took place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas - were tested for steroids and performance enhancing drugs, as well as for drugs of abuse following the event. All 24 fighters tested negative on both scans, according to NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer, who informed MMATorch of the test results on Friday.

Saturday's event featured an all-heavyweight main card, which was capped off by Junior dos Santos' first successful title defense, a second round TKO over Frank Mir. The card also saw Cain Velasquez, Roy Nelson, and Stipe Miocic earn (T)KO victories, with Stefan Struve notching a submission win on the main card as well.

Other standouts included former WEC Champion Jamie Varner making a successful return to the UFC in an upset over Edson Barboza, as well as Glover Teixeira making a statement in his UFC debut with a destructive first round win over Kyle Kingsbury.
