Per the report, Jimmo will take on Australia's Anthony Perosh on the card in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The Maximum Fighting Championships Light Heavyweight Title holder lost his MMA debut back in 2007, but has since won 16 straight fights. Most recently, he defeated former UFC fighter Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou last October.
Perosh has won three straight fights inside the UFC after losing to Mirko Cro Cop in a heavyweight bout he took on short notice for his debut. All three wins have come by stoppage, including his most recent win, a TKO over Nick Penner in March.
Penick's Analysis: That's a really solid test for Jimmo in his UFC debut. Perosh has been on a very good run in his last three fights, and he's a talented veteran who will be able to press Jimmo on the ground and on the feet. Jimmo's win streak is impressive, but now he'll have to continue it against the competition inside the Octagon. This is a good way to see what he's got to offer in the UFC.
