Mariusz Pudzianowski Clobbers Bob Sapp at KSW 19; Mamed Khalidov Victorious

Five-time World?s Strongest Man titleholder Mariusz Pudzianowski put away Bob Sapp with first-round punches less than a minute into their KSW 19 headliner on Saturday at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland. Sapp (11-12), who has lost his last six fights, succumbed to the Polish strongman?s blows 41 seconds into round one.

The two behemoths approached one another tentatively at the start and then let loose with their fists. Sapp covered up almost immediately and ate a series of close-quarters knees. Pudzianowski (4-2) backed him into the ropes, ripped his feet out from under him with a primitive but effective standing double-leg takedown and smashed away with hammerfists and punches. With Sapp offering nothing in return, referee Tomasz Bronder swooped in and brought the match to a merciful close.
