Clean-shaven Roy Nelson not dwelling on the past after UFC 137 win

Roy Nelson wore a fat suit to Friday's UFC 137 weigh-ins because fans shouldn't get to see half-naked people for free.

After a much-needed victory that sent MMA legend Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic into retirement, Nelson shaved his Grizzly Adams beard and trimmed a nest of hair so people like me would have something to write about.

In other words, Roy Nelson (16-6 MMA, 3-2 UFC) hasn't changed a bit.

"The Ultimate Fighter 10" winner, who had suffered back-to-back losses (and was one more away from receiving his UFC walking papers), staved off the termination with a third-round TKO victory over Filipovic (27-10-2 MMA, 4-6 UFC). The bout was part of the pay-per-view main card of UFC 137, which took place at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Events Center.

UFC boss: Carlos Condit's title shot secure regardless of UFC 137 results

LAS VEGAS - This weekend's UFC 137 event features a key clash in the welterweight division, but it will not determine the next challenger for Georges St-Pierre's championship belt.

While some fans and pundits have speculated that impressive Nick Diaz win over B.J. Penn could catapult the controversial former Strikeforce champ back into a matchup with St-Pierre, UFC president Dana White today said that's simply not the case.

"Condit's in," White told MMAjunkie.com. "Condit is sitting and waiting."

UFC 137: Nick Diaz Talks about Being Misunderstood and Where He Draws Motivation

It's been a wild ride for MMA fans leading up to UFC 137, but it's been even crazier for former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz, who will be taking on B.J. Penn in the main event this weekend.

Penn enters the fight having gone 1-2-1 in his last four fights while Diaz is currently riding a 10-fight win streak. After being pulled out of the original main event with UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, Diaz was swapped with Carlos Condit. St-Pierre injured his knee in training and was forced to pull off the card altogether. Now Penn vs. Diaz will headline the event at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Diaz was interviewed by MMAfanhouse.com's Ariel Helwani and had a lot to say on the build-up to the fight and about where his motivation for fighting comes from.

On being misunderstood by the public:

I've always gone about this that it's not my job to let people know who I am or how I am. I felt like my job is to go out there and put on a good show, amazing fights and give an amazing effort and hope that people can recognize that sort of thing, and maybe they would want to find out more.

I'm not in this to hurt people. That's not what I want. I'm sometimes pretty out of control by the time I go out there because this isn't something I like to do. I don't want anyone hurt. Everybody points their finger at me and says that I'm the crazy guy and this thug.

 On fighting:

I've never liked doing this. I don't like not having a job. Especially when I first started mixed-martial-arts, this is all I could do. After fights, I said this is all I know how to do. I love jiu-jitsu, and I love my team. I love repping Cesar Gracie jiu-jitsu. I love athletics and martial-arts and competition because it gets me right and puts me in the right place.

On drawing motivation to fight:

I take things fight-by-fight, and as far as motivation, I'm going to protect myself so I'm always going to be the same motivated. These people have to pump themselves up sometimes where they pray or they do what they do. What I put all my faith in is the right training, the right direction, the right technique that I put forth to get this job done. I put all my faith in that and not in something like psyching myself all up.

Full 25-minute interview available on MMAfanhouse.com.

Other main card bouts include Hatsu Hioki vs. George Roop, Matt Mitrione vs. Cheick Kongo, Scott Jorgensen vs. Jeff Curran and Mirko "Cro Cop" Flipovic vs. Roy Nelson.

Spike TV bouts begin at 8 p.m. ET and will feature a lightweight bout between Dennis Siver and Donald Cerrone as well as a featherweight matchup with Tyson Griffin and Bart Palaszewski.

Preliminary bouts can be watched on Facebook. They include Dustin Jacoby vs. Clifford Starks, Chris Camozzi vs. Francis Carmont, Ramsey Nijem vs. Danny Downes and Brandon Vera vs. Eliot Marshall.

Chael Sonnen: "Alistair Overeem is Not a Very Good Fighter"

The world has been buzzing about Alistair Overeem's UFC arrival for over a month.

This is baffling to former middleweight title contender Chael Sonnen, who doesn't seem too impressed with "The Reem's" body of work.

"(Overeem) is built for show, not for go. He's made for a poster, he looks like he's made out of clay. I understand all of that stuff," Sonnen said on ESPN's MMA Live.

"He's not a very good fighter, and as far as the K-1 being this great striking event, the K-1 is a striking-only event. If you're in the K-1, you're only allowed to strike, but I've never seen a great striker there. I could discredit the K-1 with two syllables––Bob Sapp."

Before signing with the UFC, Overeem held multiple world titles including the Strikeforce heavyweight title, Dream heavyweight title and K-1 World Grand Prix title.

Apparently, Sonnen isn't impressed with the latter, which is the primary reason fans have backed the resurging heavyweight over the years.

Overeem made history by being the only fighter in combat sports to hold a world title in MMA and K-1 at the same time.

There are still plenty of critics surrounding Overeem, but he'll get an opportunity to silence some of them at UFC 141, when he meets former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar in what is sure to be a blockbuster main event.

Josh Grispi Sidelined By Family Circumstances

UFC featherweight Josh Grispi hasn't had the best 2011 in the cage so far, but he's dealing with a lot more outside of it. After going 0-2 earlier in the year, he was scheduled to face Matt Grice at UFC 136 but withdrew from the fight. According to a Boston Herald article, it wasn't an injury that forced him out. There was a lot more to it than that:

On Aug.?12, Grispi's first child Josh Jr. was born. Two days later, Josh's father, Richard, was rushed to Tufts Medical Center for emergency surgery to remove a brain tumor the size of a hockey puck. Suffice to say, the two events didn't leave Josh much time to focus on fighting.

Shocker of the Day: Brett Rogers Arrested *Again* for Bail Condition Breach

(Tijuana had no answers for Brett's muay thai game.) You would think that a guy who is proclaiming his innocence in a spousal abuse case (in spite of the fact that everyone knows his wife is simply too terrified to testify against him) would be doing everything necessary to clear his name. Instead, former Strikeforce heavyweight contender Brett Rogers has yet again breached terms of his pre-sentencing release in his domestic assault case and was arrested this morning at his Apple Valley, MN home and is locked up in Hastings County jail. He was slated to make a first appearance to speak to the charges today, but it's unlikely that this time around he'll be able to peg fault on the court. The news of Rogers' arrest was first reported by the Apple Valley Patch. This is the second legit warrant that has been issued for him since the incident in June that culminated with Rogers being charged with felonious third-degree assault, domestic assault by strangulation, uttering terroristic threats and having a pattern of stalking as well as one gross misdemeanor count of endangerment of a child. According to statements made by witnesses and Rogers' daughters, "The Grim" beat and choked his wife Tijuana unconscious, leaving her face bruised and battered and minus a tooth. She originally tried to deny that her husband had assaulted her, but later admitted what had happened, however she refused to testify against him as she was afraid that a finding of "guilty," would cause him problems in his MMA career. It didn't matter though, since Strikeforce dropped him like a bad habit when news of the assault first broke.

Fabricio Werdum's trainer says he's in talks with the UFC, wants December return

When Shane Carwin revealed his need for back surgery after training for a December fight in the UFC, some of the speculation was that the targeted opponent was possibly Fabricio Werdum. Backing that notion up is a Tatame.com interview with King's MMA trainer Rafael Cordeiro, who revealed that Werdum is indeed in talks with the UFC:

"He's back to the trainings, he's making everybody laugh. He'll probably fight in December... He's talking to the UFC, and maybe they come up with something for December.

I like the idea, he deserves it. In case it actually happens, UFC is the place he should've never left. The best [fighters] are there, and there's where Werdum belongs."

Yves Jabouin vs. Walel Watson Slated for UFC 140

Photo

Generally when you hear about a Tiger fighting a Gazelle, it's obvious who the victor is going to be. The UFC will test that theory at UFC 140 on December 10th, when Yves Jabouin faces Walel Watson in a bantamweight fight. UFC.com has it, as usual:

Canada's own Yves "Tiger" Jabouin will be taking on Walel "The Gazelle" Watson in a bantamweight battle on December 10th at UFC 140 in Toronto. "Jabouin is looking to stay undefeated since moving into the weight division and Watson is coming off a spectacular KO win," said UFC president Dana White today. Both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout.

Jabouin made a successful debut at bantamweight at UFC 134 where he defeated Ian Loveland by close split-decision. Watson looked very impressive his his UFC debut at UFC on Versus 6 earlier this month when he dispatched Joseph Sandoval by TKO in just 77 seconds. The bout is expected to take place on the preliminary portion of the card, that will be main-evented by a UFC light heavyweight title fight between champion Jon Jones and challenger Lyoto Machida.

UFC Coming to Theaters in 3D in Early 2012

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has become one of the world's fastest growing organizations for a reason.

UFC President, Dana White has been the engine of the UFC since it's rapid growth began and has catapulted the organization into a league of their own.

And, as expected, the UFC has outdone themselves again.

Variety.com recently revealed that Cinedigm has collaborated with the UFC to bring forth four UFC events a year in 3D.

While the first fight card has yet to be determined, the first pay-per-view event will hit theaters February 4th, 2012.

Chris McGurk, Cinedigm's CEO, wasn't hesitant at all in joining forces with the UFC as he stated,

"Regardless of the network you have, the most important thing is to be providing content avid audiences want to see in a social setting. UFC, the way it's exploded in the last few years, is the perfect content to put in theaters live and in 3D."

While Cinedigm has not shared which locations would show the first pay-per-view event in 3D, they have stated February's event will be shown in approximately 120 theaters.

Joining forces with Cinedigm has allowed the UFC to gain another stepping stone on way to the top of the sports world.

UFC 136 reportedly does just around 250,000 pay-per-view buys

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

UFC_136_poster_180_6.jpeg
Early pay-per-view numbers have come in for UFC 136, and the news isn't good.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, early trending numbers for the show have it coming in around 250,000 buys. That would make it the lowest buyrate for a title fight in years.

It makes it even more disappointing that the event had two title fights in Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard and Jose Aldo vs. Kenny Florian. The former was also a rematch of one of the best fights of the year, and the latter was Aldo's second fight in the organization after debuting in Toronto.

Penick's Analysis: This shows us two things: the "draw" of Chael Sonnen was massively overstated, and the interest level in the lower weight classes - especially in close proximity to major title fights in the light heavyweight and, until this week, welterweight divisions - isn't there. Gray Maynard is not a draw, and Frankie Edgar needs a stronger personality against him to really garner interest amongst the casual fanbase. This was a huge card for the hardcore fans, and that's where this number comes in, but it can't be seen as anything but a massive disappointment that they only came in around 250,000 buys.

UFC 141 Fight Card: Can Brock Lesnar Deal with Alistair Overeem's Striking?

UFC 141 features one of the biggest super-fights in the sport of MMA. The UFC just acquired Strikeforce MMA, and with it comes their massive heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem. The UFC wasted no time in pitting their biggest fighter, Brock Lesnar, against him in what will be a huge showdown for No. 1 contender status.

With seven victories in a row, Overeem's on fire. He's finished six of those last seven fights, half with submissions, and half with knockouts. UFC fans are in for a treat, because "The Demolition Man" is the best heavyweight fighter that wasn't in the UFC.

Brock Lesnar is a beast. He's one of the most athletic fighters to ever step into the octagon, and probably the most physically gifted heavyweight ever.

This fight will be a spectacle to behold, no matter where the fight goes. Fans love heavyweight showdowns, because they're the best fighters in the world. Smaller guys may be more skilled, but heavyweights are king. This No. 1 contender fight could very likely produce the next UFC champion.

The fight will have to start standing, and it promises to be extremely entertaining from the moment the bell rings.

Overeem is a professional kickboxer, and is one of the best in the world. He has deadly knees, kicks and drops bombs with his sledgehammers for fists.

Brock Lesnar isn't a great striker, but the beauty of the heavyweight division is that anyone has the power to knock the other fighter out.

Brock will try to take it to the ground, but he hasn't fought anyone with the strength of Overeem in MMA. He also has to be weary of knees when going for the shot.

I imagine he'll try to stand and bang for at least a little while with Overeem, because he won't want to get stuffed on a shot and end up in the Dutch striker's deadly clinch. It will be vital for Brock to check Alistair's leg kicks, because they will certainly wear him down quickly.

Look for Lesnar to try and get inside with a one-two jab cross combo. He has definitely been working diligently on his striking for this fight, and he has a right-hand with one-punch knockout power.

If Brock can land a big shot, the fight is all his. Lesnar will keep Overeem down and surely be able to pound out a TKO victory.

There are many intriguing storylines in this fight, and it has the potential to be a UFC classic. Lesnar and Overeem is a must-watch fight for hardcore, and casual MMA fans alike.

On the one hand, UFC light heavyweight Brandon Vera owes Thiago Silva, the man who beat him at UFC 125 in January, a debt of gratitude. That's because had Silva not tested positive for steroids following the fight, Vera knows he would be looking for work outside the UFC.

"Stuff happens in weird ways," Vera said on Monday's episode of The MMA Hour. "For sure this was a blessing in disguise. So whether it came from up top or karma was just like, 'Look, man, he's been through enough. Let's give him one. Let's see what he does with it.' Either way, I'm running with it."

On the other hand, Vera has no problem expressing how he really feels about Silva, who celebrated in the cage en route to beating "The Truth" via unanimous decision on Jan. 1.

"I think he was just celebrating, but now that I know that he was a juice monkey, for sure, I think he's a piece of sh**."

Following the fight, the UFC released Vera, who had just dropped to 0-3 in his last three fights. But after news broke that Silva had been suspended for a year by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for testing positive for steroids and providing a fake urine sample, the organization gave Vera his job back. He'll get another shot to realize his UFC dreams next weekend when he meets Eliot Marshall at UFC 137.

"I was still bewildered the whole time wondering why I looked so bad," Vera said of his fight against Silva. "But then when the test came back, I understood why, man.

"The whole fight I just kept asking myself, 'What the hell is going on? Why is this?' You know, I train with Phil Davis, 'Hapa' Travis Browne, the Nogueira brothers and Junior dos Santos. I train with some big dudes, man. Nobody has ever been able to hold me. The whole time during the fight, while we're on the ground, I'm just thinking to myself, 'What is going? Why is it like this?' And it just wore on me the whole time. On the feet, I was happy as hell. I was smiling the whole damn time. He's so slow, but then as soon as we hit the deck, it just felt like I was a little child."

Vera says he hasn't talked to Silva after the fight, and he has no intention of reaching out to him any time soon.

"No interest at all," he said. "Not till I smack him in his face again."

John Hathaway injured, Matt Brown now meets Seth Baczynski at UFC 139 [UPDATED]

John Hathaway made a fast rise in the UFC through 2009 and 2010, winning four straight fights and capping the streak off with an upset over Diego Sanchez. However, Hathaway then dropped a decision to Mike Pyle and has appeared just once in 2011.

He was scheduled to face Matt Brown at UFC 138 in London next month, but now Brown says Hathaway is out of their fight with an injury. Brown took to Twitter to reveal Hathaway's removal, and says he is awaiting a replacement opponent.

UPDATE: The UFC has now officially announced Hathaway's injury, and in his place steps TUF 11 vet Seth Baczynski, fresh off a UFC Fight Night 25 victory over Clay Harvison. However, the fight has been moved from the UFC 138 cardin London to the UFC 139 card on Nov. 19 in San Jose, Calif.

GSP Injury Fallout: Dana White Should Make BJ Penn vs. Nick Diaz 5 Rounds

There is a lot to talk with the recent unfortunate news that Georges St-Pierre has pulled out from his UFC 137 bout with Carlos Condit due to a knee injury. Dana White has announced that the co-main event between B.J. Penn and Nick Diaz will now move into the headlining position, but frankly, that alone isn't enough to salvage the card.

B.J. Penn vs. Nick Diaz Should Be Five Rounds

When the UFC made the move to change non-title main events from three rounds to five rounds, the announcement was met with almost universal approval from hardcore MMA fans.

Great fights deserve five rounds, and sometimes when two great fighters meet, it takes five rounds to really turn a decent fight into a truly great one.

The Edgar vs. Maynard trilogy wouldn't have been great without those two extra rounds, and fights like Jackson vs. Machida, Penn vs. Fitch and Jackson vs. Evans might have actually had a chance at greatness had they been contested over five rounds instead of three.

Penn vs. Diaz is one of those great fights that deserves the dignity of five rounds, and really, those extra two rounds really add far more intrigue.

In this writer's opinion, Penn is a superior boxer, wrestler and BJJ player, and Nick Diaz's only really big advantage over Penn is his renowned conditioning.

I greatly favor Penn in a three round fight and think that he'll easily win the first two rounds before conditioning becomes a big issue.  But because Diaz is a highly durable fighter, contesting the fight over five rounds makes the fight far more interesting, and a Diaz victory far more possible.

The only real negative is for bettors who have put money on Penn, counting on Penn to be the better fighter over three rounds.

UFC 137 Needs a New Co-Main Event

While B.J. Penn vs. Nick Diaz is a serviceable main event, the loss of GSP and Condit seriously damages the overall value of the pay-per-view card to the point where simply moving up a fight from the undercard isn't satisfactory.

If the UFC wants to salvage the card and make it worthy of hard-earned fan dollars, they should seriously consider adding a new co-main event.

Josh Koscheck has stepped up by offering to fight Condit, but that fight can't really happen.

The UFC needs St-Pierre to fight as frequently as possible, and while putting a potential title challenger on the sidelines might seem wasteful, it's better than waiting another two months for a new challenger to emerge if St-Pierre can return to action in that time line.

Still, White should consider inserting Koscheck or another high-level fighter in there somewhere, because UFC 137 needs help.

The "very, very dangerous" Matt Mitrione is ready to scrap wherever the fight goes at UFC 137

Currently undefeated in his five-fight professional career, Matt Mitrione will look to propel himself into the title mix when he takes on his toughest test to date in Kongo at UFC 137. And though all but one of his victories have come by way of some form of knockout, Mitrione assures that the Frenchmen will be at risk of bodily harm no matter where the fight goes. So what do you think LowKick'ers? Is the former pro-football player turned mixed martial artist ready for the upper end of the division or...

Frankie Edgar to speak to NY Jets before Monday Night Football

If there is one fighter currently on the UFC roster that can speak to never giving up when things look bleak, it would be UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar. In his last two fights, both against top contender Gray Maynard, Edgar weathered a tough first round; fighting back to a draw on January 1 and scoring the TKO win at UFC 136. Edgar will look to share some of his never quit attitude with the New York Jets before they meet the Miami Dolphins this week on Monday Night Football. The Jets are

Dana White says Toronto is the fight capitol of the world for the UFC

UFC President Dana White was in Toronto this week for the UFC 140 press conference, and stopped by Toronto radio station The Fan 590 to talk about the UFC's return to the city this December and his thoughts on the city as the premiere location for MMA in the world. Here's what he had to say about Canada's place in MMA (transcribed by SportsRadioInterviews):

"Canada as whole, and I've said it for years, is the mecca for Mixed Martial Arts, but Toronto is off the charts man. It's so cool here. I love coming here, I love the people, I love the city, and when you think about Las Vegas, Las Vegas has been the fight capitol of the world for years but when it comes to the UFC, Toronto is it baby."

Dana White Says Jon Jones Is the "Real Deal" If He Defeats Lyoto Machida

Jon Jones' quick ascension in the light heavyweight division is quite impressive, but UFC president Dana White believes the 24-year-old has even more potential to show.

Jones will compete for the fourth time this year when he defends the light heavyweight title against Lyoto Machida at UFC 140

While appearing at a pre-UFC 140 press conference earlier this week, White spoke highly of both competitors and said Jones has handled the pressure tremendously well at his age.

"I've said it many times that this guy is the whole package. At such a young age, taking on the names and beating the guys that he has," White said. "You have to respect what he's been able to do at such a young age and how he's done it.”

To put it simply, Jones has manhandled his opponents in such an unprecedented fashion. "Bones" has seemingly made his successful run look easy at this point, while walking away with little or no injuries.

Holding victories over such veterans as Vladimir Matyushenko, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Jones has already cemented his claim for one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in mixed martial arts.

And, according to White, a win over Machida will certainly solidify his pound-for-pound status.

"If Jon Jones can walk through Machida the way he walked through Rampage, then he has arrived, he is the real deal," he said. "[Lyoto] Machida is stylistically very tough and I think this is a fun fight.”

Strikeforce officially announces Gilbert Melendez vs. Jorge Masvidal for Dec. 17; tickets on sale this week

The question of whether or not Gilbert Melendez will indeed face Jorge Masvidal in Strikeforce this December was answered on Tuesday. UFC President Dana White cast doubt on the bout when he stated in interviews in the last couple of weeks that the organization was looking to bring Melendez in as soon as possible, but Strikeforce announced on Tuesday that Melendez will indeed face Masvidal on Dec. 17.

The event will take place in San Diego, Calif., and tickets for the event go on sale this Saturday.

Melendez staying in Strikeforce likely means the next title challenger for Frankie Edgar in the UFC's lightweight division will be the winner of the bout between Ben Henderson and Clay Guida at UFC on Fox 1 in November.

UFC 140 Interview: Rory MacDonald Happy To Be Fighting "Very Tricky" Ebersole

There aren't many fighters out there, if any, whose star is rising faster than Canadian welterweight Rory MacDonald. He has burst into the mixed martial arts fans' consciousness based on his willingness to take a challenge (he fought Carlos Condit in only his second fight in the UFC) and his divinely technical fighting prowess (he rag dolled Nate Diaz and ran through Mike Pyle in his two fights this year).

"Ares" was at the UFC 140 press conference this afternoon, and I got a chance to chat with him about some things, including his UFC 140 opponent Brian Ebersole, how he is handling his fast ascent to MMA stardom and fighting in Canada again for the second time this year.

Please see the attached video for the entire Bleacher Report interview.

If he is happy with facing Brian Ebersole as his next challenge?

"Yeah I'm very happy. He's an experienced guy and he seems to have a lot of following in the short amount of time he's been in the UFC so. He has won all his fights, very tricky, very smart so I gotta bring my A-game for this fight."

On how he is handling his fast ascent in MMA, and if he is able to stay focused?

"Of course. I stick to my training, try to evolve and get better everyday. I have a passion for martial arts and it's a part of my life. It's inevitable that I am gonna keep getting better."

"Handling the attention and all that, it comes with the territory, it's what I expected and what I wanted for my life so, I'm handling it fine."

Did he or does he get an extra boost in his game from fighting in his home country?

"Anywhere I go, anywhere I fight it doesn't matter who's watching or whatever, it's me fighting and there's one guy in the cage you know, that I have to worry about and that's it. Being home in Canada, it's that sense of home so I enjoy being here and fighting for sure."

MacDonald is an incredibly poised and mentally focused man for his age, he also has that key element in sports that is essential to succeed. Confidence in his ability. It was evident when I asked him if he was surprised at how he handled veteran Mike Pyle in his last fight.

"No, it's pretty much how I thought it would go."

I can't wait to see MacDonald live on December 10th.

QUOTABLES: Dana White focused and determined to bring UFC to the next level

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

WhiteDana_WK150_10.jpg
"It's been crazy, but I wouldn't change a thing. When you want to achieve and you want to do what we're doing, this is how you do it, and this is what you have to do. In no way, shape or form am I like, 'I need to lay off; [expletive] this.' I love it. We have a plan. The next two years ... definitely the next is going to beat the living [expletive] out of me. The next year is going to be a real rough one for me. But I'm down for this. This is what I want to do. I have a plan; I know how I want to execute this next year. Because in my opinion, the next two years are the most important two years for this company and this sport...

All the ducks are in a row, we've got this thing dialed in, we know what we're doing, we're the best at what we do, and now we're going to go out there, and we're going to [expletive] nail this in the next two years... Hold this tape and watch what happens at the end of next year and where we are and what we're talking about. And believe me, I will [expletive] die before I let this not happen. I don't give a [expletive] how many cities or countries I have to fly to in the next 10 days or next year. I am focused and excited and ready to do this."

-UFC President Dana White talks to MMAJunkie.com about the importance the next two years holds for the UFC now that they've secured their network television deal with Fox.

Penick's Analysis: For all of the criticism Dana White gets from a lot of different areas, his dedication to the UFC and building his business is incredible. The workload he undertakes to continue building their brand and to make the UFC on the level of other major professional sports is insane, and it's not going to get any easier as they up the amount of events they run moving forward. I'm excited to see what the UFC has in store for the next year, and the Fox deal alone is immense, but how White and the UFC executes things will be the story of the next year.
